In the ongoing developments surrounding Texas’ lawsuit against MI, PA, GA, and WI, President Trump announced today that he will “be intervening.” The procedure of intervening allows for someone to be included in litigation, as long as the person(s) being included are being impacted by the litigation.
We will be INTERVENING in the Texas (plus many other states) case. This is the big one. Our Country needs a victory!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 9, 2020
While Trump has made this announcement, the Supreme Court has the discretion to allow it to occur. The President’s statements follow additional states showing support for Texas’ suit.
