As reported by the National Review, photographs emerged showing AOC “seated outside Doraku Sushi and Izakaya in Miami Beach Thursday afternoon, raising a cocktail in one hand and checking her phone in another.”

NBC New York published on Thursday, “New York smashed its single-day COVID case record for the second straight day Thursday, reporting at least 74,207 new positives as the omicron surge stretches hospitals further. Meanwhile, hospitalizations continue to climb.”
AOC received backlash for the apparent hypocrisy of leaving her liberal-run state for Florida, a state governed by Republican Ron DeSantis, while New York continues to suffer through record numbers of COVID cases.
