The former Democrat congresswoman from Hawaii, Tulsi Gabbard, filled as host on Tucker Carlson Tonight Friday night.

Gabbard tweeted in advance some of the topics she’d be covering.

She slammed the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago, calling it the “weaponization of the security state” in the U.S. The former representative hammered using the politicization of the entities, commenting that it was getting worse as Twitter had announced new rules to protect election conversations on the social site.

Gabbard’s guest David Sacks, the host of the “All-In” podcast and co-founder of Craft Ventures,  brought insight into new “misinformation rules” put in place by Twitter to protect and take down what might jeopardize “user safety.”

Sacks pointed out that with Twitter’s announcement about protecting conversation on Twitter during elections, there was plenty they could do. However, restricting ‘bots’ and ‘foreign actors’ accounts tweeting or responding to “amplify sentiment” doesn’t fit the change.

The entrepreneur pointed out that the term “user safety” was used during COVID to stifle “wrong think” about the virus. He stressed that a lot of the opinion removed from Twitter turned out to be true in the long run but was considered “misinformation” by Twitter employees who monitor misinformation.

Sacks criticized the social media giant’s employees for restricting information that is different from their political bias.

Gabbard drew clear lines between the social giant, the Disinformation Governance Board, a.k.a. “Ministry of Truth,” and other accounts that the Biden Administration has raised questions about, suggesting an endgame of getting around the first amendment.

Gabbard made it plain, “We have to get back to the basics: civil liberties and the Constitution.” She stressed that Americans are rightfully concerned that “we have a government finding ways to try to undermine those fundamental freedoms.”

“The FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago earlier this week marked the beginning of a new and dangerous path for America,” said Gabbard.
