In a recent appearance on MSNBC, Hillary Clinton, the former Secretary of State, couldn’t contain her laughter when discussing the impending indictment of former President Donald Trump in Georgia. The host, Rachel Maddow, playfully inquired about Clinton’s thoughts on the unfolding events in Georgia, leading Clinton to respond with a mix of amusement and disbelief, stating, “Oh, I can’t believe this.” She added, “Honestly, I didn’t think that it would be under these circumstances. Yet another set of indictments.”

Later that evening, Trump faced his fourth indictment in Georgia, with charges stemming from Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. The charges encompass a range of offenses, including violations of the Georgia Racketeer Influenced And Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, Conspiracy to Commit Forgery, and Solicitation of Violation of Oath by a Public Officer, among others.

When probed about her feelings on Trump’s legal troubles, Clinton expressed a “great profound sadness” over the potential indictment of a former president. She emphasized the seriousness of the situation, stating, “This is a terrible moment for our country to have a former president accused of these terribly important crimes.” Clinton concluded by expressing hope in the justice system, noting that “the system is working” and that efforts to “undermine democracy have been brought into the light.”

Trump, in response to the charges, labeled them as part of the “greatest and longest-running Witch Hunt in American history.” He criticized the timing of the indictment, suggesting it was politically motivated and strategically placed during his political campaign.
