On Monday, CNN was blasted online for fact checking a meme Musk tweeted that satirically poked fun at the far-left network.
In response to Musk’s efforts to promote freespeech on his newly-acquired social media platform, corporate, political and media activists have been calling for Musk to reinstate previously-upheld censorship. So far, Musk has continued to unban accounts and mock leftist outcries over his actions.
The viral meme in question was an obviousl-doctored photo that showed CNN anchor Don Lemon and Elon Musk with the headline “CNN: Elon Musk could threaten free speech on Twitter by literally allowing people to speak freely.”

CNN’s Communications account shot back at Musk with an edited version on the meme saying, “This headline never appeared on CNN. Be Better.”
The communications team apparently doctored Musk’s originally-doctored meme placing a fake Twitter warning over it. The warning stated “This tweet violated the Twitter rules on sharing false, fabricated and misleading information.” To which Musk responded, “Lmaoooo.”
