Devon Archer, a business associate of Hunter Biden, disclosed to the House Oversight Committee that Hunter Biden leveraged his father’s position as Vice President to gain an advantage in his foreign business dealings. Archer’s testimony was conducted behind closed doors.

Archer stated that Hunter Biden utilized his father’s influential name to add value to his pitches and secure foreign business ventures. He explained that Hunter Biden didn’t explicitly state that he would use his father’s position, but rather subtly used it to gain leverage.

According to Archer, Hunter Biden’s value lay not only in his theoretical understanding of corporate governance but also in the brand he represented, which offered capabilities, reach, and a unique understanding of Washington D.C.

Archer also revealed that Hunter Biden put his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, on speakerphone during meetings with business partners at least 20 times. This was done to sell the brand and demonstrate their unique understanding of D.C., which they claimed could positively impact their business ventures.

Archer served on the board of Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings alongside Hunter Biden from 2014 and received $83,000 a month for his work. He testified that Hunter Biden used the brand of Joe Biden to open doors and send the right signals for Burisma to carry on its business successfully.

Archer also testified that Hunter Biden and he attended a board of directors meeting in Dubai on Dec. 4, 2015. During that meeting, Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevsky and Vadym Pozharskyi asked Hunter to make a phone call to “D.C.” to address the pressure the company was facing.

The White House has repeatedly denied any involvement of President Biden in his son’s business dealings. However, Archer’s testimony seems to contradict these claims, as he confirmed that then-Vice President Joe Biden attended dinners with Hunter’s foreign business associates, including an executive of Burisma Holdings.

Archer’s testimony is part of the House Oversight Committee’s ongoing investigation into the Biden family’s alleged foreign business schemes. The investigation has reportedly found evidence that the Biden family and its business associates created more than 20 companies and received over $10 million from foreign nationals while Joe Biden served as vice president.
