In a recent interview, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden expressed her disapproval of the suggestion that her husband, President Joe Biden, take a competency test for elderly politicians.

The proposal was put forth by Nikki Haley, a Republican presidential nominee. Mrs. Biden dismissed the idea as “ridiculous”.

According to CNN Jill Biden said, “We would never even discuss something like that.”

As the oldest person to hold the presidency at 80 years old, concerns have been raised about Joe Biden’s physical and mental fitness. The president has faced criticism, even from members of his own party, over instances in which he has stumbled or struggled with his speech.

Nikki Haley, a Republican presidential nominee who previously served as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations under former President Donald Trump, recently made comments that appeared to target both Biden and Trump.

At a campaign rally last month, Haley called for younger leaders and advocated for term limits in Congress. She also proposed mandatory mental competency tests for politicians over 75 years old, stating “In the America I see, the permanent politician will finally retire.” Responding to this proposal during a recent interview, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden dismissed it as “ridiculous”.
