On Wednesday, Joe Biden’s Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, squared off with Fox News’ Peter Doocy over classified documents being inappropriately housed in his private office and another location.

CBS News revealed Biden’s legal team were “packing files housed in a locked closet to prepare to vacate office space at the Penn Biden Center in Washington DC.”

CNN came forward with an additional revelation stating some of the documents in question were designated Top Secret SCI. Documents of this classification are considered to be very sensitive, which usually pertain to intelligence-related information.

During Wednesday’s press conference Doocy asked Jean-Pierre “On these documents, how could anyone be that irresponsible? Isn’t that what this president said about mishandling classified documents?”

Jean-Pierre replied saying, “The president spoke to this personally. He believes that classified documents and information should be taken seriously. He takes them seriously.”

She went on to say, “Here’s what happened when his lawyers found out that the documents were there. They immediately turned them over to the Archives.”

Doocy interjected saying, “But they were there in the first place. I understand that they did the right thing…”

Jean-Pierre argued, I’m not going to go into specifics,. What I am reiterating to you is what you heard from the president yourself, Peter, which is how he saw the process and how he respects and truly respects and takes this very seriously.”

“How can President Biden be trusted moving forward with America’s secrets?” Doocy continued.

Jean-Pierre tried to justify Biden’s actions by saying, “Because his lawyers, his team did the right thing.”
