WATCH: Biden Says His Loan Forgiveness Executive Order Is A Law That Passed Congress ‘By A Vote Or Two’

During a recent interview with Now This Media, former Vice President Biden claimed that his student loan bailout plan was voted on and passed by Congress, not mentioning that it was actually an executive order.

Biden made his comments while he was speaking about his executive order that allows for certain amounts of student debt to be “forgiven” by the federal government.

During his remarks, he said “I’ve just signed a law that is being challenged by my Republican collogues.” The “law” he was referring to is actually the executive order to forgive student debt.

Biden doubled-down and claimed that his executive order is a law that was voted on by Congress. He said, “It’s passed. I got it passed by a vote or two. It’s in effect.”
