While appearing on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez did not deny that she had considered a run for the Oval Office in 2024.
Colbert asked Cortez if the job was appealing to her at all.
The New York Democrat, smiling from ear to ear, replied, “I think that we need to focus on keeping a democracy for anybody to be president in the next couple of years. That’s my central focus, is helping people of this country.”
The CBS late-night talk show host pressed the representative on the possibility, but the denial was not forthcoming. Cortez managed, “I don’t know about all of that,” waving the question off.
Ocasio-Cortez would meet the age requirements for a presidential candidate as she will turn 35 on October 13.
How would an Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez presidency look? You can be the judge.
