On Saturday, President Joe Biden tested positive for COVID-19 for a second time.
The president took to Twitter again to inform the nation of the positive status.

According to his physician, Kevin O’Conner, the president’s condition represents “rebound positivity,” which occurs in a small percentage of patients treated with Paxlovid. O’Conner also noted that Biden had no reemergence of symptoms and felt well; therefore, reinstatement of additional treatment wasn’t necessary.
O’Conner released a statement on Sunday specifying that Biden remained “unsurprisingly positive.” He noted that the president remained isolated at the White House to protect those around him and continued to “conduct the business of the American people from the Executive Residence.”
Biden is fully vaccinated and received two booster shots.
