Biden’s Press Secretary To Step Down In About A Year

Democrat Former Vice President Joe Biden’s Press Secretay, Jen Psaki, has announced that she will be stepping down as the nation’s circle-back girl in about a year.

Psaki made her comments during David Axelrod’s podcast “The Axe Files.” When probed about her role in the White House, Psaki said, “I think it’s going to be time for somebody else to have this job, in a year from now or about a year from now.”

Psaki cited her children as being reasons for such a move, “I don’t want to miss moments, I don’t want to miss things, and I’m very mindful of that as well. It’s a great job, it will be hard [to leave], but I also never thought I’d be here, and I also love my kids a lot.”

It was during this same interview that Psaki said her and the communications team try to keep Biden from speaking freely to the press. “That is not something we recommend,” she said. “In fact, a lot of times we say ‘Don’t take questions,’ you know, but he’s going to do what he wants to do because he’s the President of the United States. We’re never going to satisfy the White House press corps and their desires for access. And I think there have been mistakes made in the past of trying to do that.”
