On Monday, Donald Trump’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani, was informed that the state of Georgia was investigating him in connection to the 2020 general election.
The news broke after Giuliani’s lawyers confirmed he was being investigated by Fulton County District Attorney Fani T. Willis. And, the details of the investigation revolve around alleged actions to overturn the election.
Attorney Robert Costello said, “If these people think he’s going to talk about conversations between him and President Trump, they’re delusional.”
These developments come after the FBI raided Trumps personal residence last week, which set off a firestorm of controversy.
The New York Times reported state prosecutors questioned witnesses before a special grand jury about comments Giuliani made. Apparently, the focus has been on remarks made before legislatures after the 2020 election was held.
Giuliani is set to testify, in Atlanta, on Wednesday.
