The committee, led by Republicans, has raised questions about Willis’ intentions, specifically regarding her request for a special grand jury to assist in the investigation into Trump’s alleged efforts to overturn Georgia’s 2020 presidential election results.
In a letter addressed to Willis, the committee expressed concerns about potential political motivations influencing the decision to prosecute. The letter emphasized the importance of ensuring that the justice system remains impartial and is not swayed by external pressures or biases.

The investigation focuses on a phone call between Trump and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, during which Trump allegedly pressured Raffensperger to “find” enough votes to overturn the state’s election results.
