IDF Reports Targeting 11,000 Terrorist Sites in Gaza Amid Ongoing War

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Wednesday that they have carried out strikes against more than 11,000 terrorist targets inside Gaza since the initiation of a significant terrorist attack by Hamas earlier last month.

Since the attack on October 7th, which resulted in the tragic loss of 1,400 Israeli lives, over 5,300 injuries, and the kidnapping of over 220 individuals, the IDF has faced significant challenges. They have lost a total of 326 soldiers, including 11 casualties reported on a recent Tuesday as they conducted operations to clear Gaza of terrorists from both Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

It remains challenging to ascertain the exact number of terrorists neutralized, as many have taken refuge in underground tunnels designed to conceal their activities and weapons.

The IDF reported on Tuesday that they had successfully eliminated approximately 50 terrorists within a single stronghold in northern Gaza. While the precise count of terrorists killed remains uncertain, it is believed to be substantial, potentially ranging from hundreds to thousands.

In response to ongoing threats, Israel has proactively deployed missile destroyers to the Red Sea due to missile and drone attacks by Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen. Additionally, the United States has played a role in intercepting multiple ballistic missiles and approximately two dozen drones originating from Yemen, targeting Israel.

The IDF has also taken action against Iranian-backed Hezbollah militants in Lebanon, who had launched mortars into Israel, fired anti-tank missiles at Israeli forces, and engaged in surface-to-air missile attacks against aerial assets. The IDF has released a video highlighting their substantial presence in Gaza as they actively pursue the terrorists responsible for these attacks.

In the video, Major General Yaron Finkelman, Commanding Officer of the Southern Command, delivered a resolute message to IDF soldiers, stating, “We have one goal – victory. No matter how long or how challenging the fighting will be, there is no other outcome than victory. We will fight with professionalism and strength, guided by the IDF’s core values, including dedication to the mission and the relentless pursuit of victory. We will engage in combat in various terrains, including alleys and tunnels, and we will confront the abominable enemy that stands before us.”

The IDF continues its efforts, targeting approximately 300 locations during the past day, including the sites of anti-tank and rocket launch positions, tunnel entrances, and military facilities belonging to the terrorist organization Hamas.
