Tensions Rise as Activist Releases Painted Mice in McDonald’s Amid Calls for Boycott

In a startling incident in Birmingham, United Kingdom, a pro-Palestinian activist made a dramatic statement by releasing a box of mice painted in the colors of the Palestinian flag inside a McDonald’s outlet. The incident unfolded with the activist shouting slogans like “free f—ing Palestine” and “f— Israel,” leaving diners at the fast-food restaurant in shock.

Video footage of the incident quickly went viral on various social media platforms, capturing the moment when a man adorned with a Palestinian flag on his head retrieved a box of mice, spray-painted to resemble the Palestinian flag, from a car sporting a license plate reading “PAIISTN.” He then proceeded to release the rodents onto the restaurant floor, taking the unsuspecting customers by surprise.

Local authorities swiftly responded to the incident, with West Midlands Police, responsible for the area where the McDonald’s is located, launching an investigation. Their official statement read, “We understand the distress this will have caused, and it’s not acceptable in any circumstances.” The incident has been categorized as a “public nuisance offense.”

McDonald’s, in response to inquiries from the Daily Mail, confirmed that a “number of mice” had been released inside the Birmingham McDonald’s. However, they emphasized that the location had been thoroughly sanitized and subsequently reopened after the removal of the rodents.

The incident took a provocative turn as the video concluded with a message urging a targeted boycott of what it referred to as “The Big Three” brands involved in supporting the Israeli apartheid. The message was accompanied by images of the logos of McDonald’s, Disney, and Starbucks.

This incident has ignited anger within pro-Palestinian circles, leading to calls for a boycott of McDonald’s. The outcry follows reports that an Israeli franchise of the fast-food giant had donated 100,000 meals and offered food to Israeli Defense Force soldiers at a discounted rate following a terrorist attack in the country on October 7th.

In a separate development, Starbucks found itself embroiled in controversy when it sued the worker’s union, Starbucks Workers United, alleging improper use of the company’s intellectual property. This followed the union’s posting of a “Solidarity with Palestine!” message.

Notably, The Walt Disney Co. made an announcement on October 12th, pledging $1 million to an affiliate of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies to support emergency medical and blood banking services in Israel. The company also committed an additional $1 million to other nonprofit organizations working in the region.

The incident in Birmingham is not an isolated occurrence, as a pro-Palestinian protest was recently held outside a McDonald’s outlet in Bristol, England, where protesters chanted slogans like “boycott McDonald’s” and “you’re killing innocent people,” as reported by the UK Express.

Fox News Digital reached out to McDonald’s UK for comment, but they did not respond as of the time of this report.
