On Wednesday, Twitter CEO Elon Musk announced a change in Twitter policy, marking an end to Big Tech’s complete censorship of challenges to “approved” scientific beliefs.

His tweet said, “New Twitter policy is to follow the science, which necessarily includes reasoned questioning of the science.”

One of the top tweets responding to Elon’s announcement was Dr. Gad Saad, a professor at Concordia University in Montreal. Saad said, “The science is anything that His Eminence Lord Fauci says it is. His Excellence is science.” Gaad included a link to a YouTube video where he mockingly appeared to be lamenting how he would continue to uphold Fauci as the complete arbiter of scientific thought. Gaad also said how Fauci proclaiming himself to be the embodiment of science to not be a delusion on grandeur.

The process of scientific discovery is a process of constant challenging of prevailing theories or beliefs. During the pandemic, Big Tech had strictly prohibited any questioning of approved data related to COVID or the vaccines. Writer Katherine Brodsky responded to Musk’s post saying “Also known as the scientific method.”

Musk’s change in policy follows him revealing the existence of a “Fauci Fan Club” Slack channel that existed on on Twitter’s internal Slack account. Musk also pointed out how “Almost no one seems to realize that the head of bioethics at NIH – the person who is supposed to make sure that Fauci behaves ethically – is his wife.”
