Reports are emerging that Former Vice President Joe Biden has selected Ketanji Brown Jackson to replace Justice Stephen Breyer on the Supreme Court.
Citing a source, CNN reported, “Biden has reached a decision on his first nominee to the Supreme Court, people familiar with the selection said Thursday, with his historic selection of the first Black woman to serve on the nation’s highest court set to be revealed as soon as Friday.”
Ketanji Brown Jackson would be the first Black woman to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court. Sources tell @AP that President Joe Biden intends to nominate Jackson to the court.

Biden’s selection comes after he considered two other candidates: J. Michelle Childs and Leondra Kruger. Holding true to his campaign promise, Biden only considered black women for the position.
