On Monday, President Joe Biden celebrated his 81st birthday amidst ongoing questions about his health and fitness. Coinciding with this occasion, former President Donald Trump released a medical report, asserting his excellent health status.

The health update, signed by Dr. Bruce Aronwald of Morristown Medical Group, stated that Trump’s overall health is in top condition following his latest check-up in mid-September. However, the brief three-paragraph statement offered limited specifics, a fact noted by several journalists.

The report did highlight that Trump had likely improved his vital signs due to weight loss, credited to enhanced diet and daily physical activities amid his demanding schedule. It also mentioned that Trump had achieved outstanding scores on cognitive tests and performed within normal parameters on physical examinations. In addition, his cardiovascular tests were cited as normal, and all cancer screening tests came back negative.

Dr. Aronwald expressed his belief that the former president would continue to enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle for many years, given his ongoing commitment to preventive health monitoring and maintenance.

Trump shared the medical report on his Truth Social platform. This release coincided with Biden’s 81st birthday, which was overshadowed by concerns about his capacity to continue serving as the nation’s leader.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre dismissed any concerns about Biden’s age or health affecting his electability, insisting there was no cause for alarm. Both Biden and Trump are potential candidates in the 2024 election, each seeking another term in office.

Trump currently leads the GOP primary polls, potentially setting the stage for a rematch of the 2020 general election. However, his campaign is also marked by several ongoing legal challenges.

Meanwhile, Biden’s occasional lapses in concentration during public addresses, coupled with incidents of tripping or falling captured on camera, have raised doubts about his leadership abilities. If re-elected, Biden, already the oldest president in U.S. history, would be 86 at the end of his second term.

Despite these concerns, a health summary from Biden’s physician released in February claimed the president was healthy, vigorous, and capable of executing presidential duties. The report also disclosed that Biden was receiving treatment for several conditions, including non-valvular atrial fibrillation (A-fib), hyperlipidemia, gastroesophageal reflux, seasonal allergies, peripheral neuropathy of feet, and a stiffened gait.

Republicans have called on Biden to take a cognitive test during his presidency or withdraw from the 2024 race, noting the absence of any indication that he has taken one so far.
