As he was leaving for the Texas border to view the completion of the border wall, President Trump reflected on his speech made on January 6th.
After saying that we have to “always avoid violence,” he said that his statements have been analyzed by many in the news and it was “totally appropriate.” He then went on to point out that the riots that were carried on throughout the summer and how those events were a “real problem.”
His comments come after many in politics and media have said that his comments during is Jan 6th rally contributed to instigating the breach of the Capitol building.
