On Friday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis took the stage in Tampa at the 2022 Student Action Summit and encouraged the participants to take a stand against woke ideologies to prepare for battle but rely on the full armor of God to protect them as they fight.
The event hosted by Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point U.S.A. was filled with college-age adults who chanted, “U.S.A. – U.S.A. – U.S.A.” as DeSantis took the stage. Throughout the governor’s speech, the crowd repeatedly erupted in cheers.
DeSantis wished Biden a speedy recovery from COVID-19 and the American people a speedy recovery from Joe Biden.

The Sunshine State leader blasted the woke agenda from the classroom to the corporate board room to the White House and the Oval Office.
The 43-year-old father of three told the crowd he was “just getting warmed up” and had “only begun to fight.”
The governor hammered the poor policies of the administration on the border crisis, sexual indoctrination, critical race theory, and stifling individual freedoms forcing vaccinations on citizens calling out the administration as the “Brandon Administration.”
He slammed Biden for begging the Saudis and Venezuela for oil when the U.S. has energy independence at its fingertips.
"How come it's wrong to produce our own oil and gas here, but you can go to Saudi Arabia and fist-bump to try to get it from Saudi? I mean, it makes no sense… We have the opportunities here to be energy independent." – @GovRonDeSantis today pic.twitter.com/lCeemGPGDt

He clobbered the woke ideologies of convincing little Johnny he’s really a girl, “It might fly in California, but it won’t fly in Florida,” the governor said to a cheering crowd.
He concluded his speech with a snapshot of reality. “If you’re willing to speak the truth, they [the left] will attack you; they will smear you….If you are a threat to the left, they are going to come after you.”
The governor encouraged the crowd to prepare according to Ephesians 6:
“Get ready for battle. Put on the full armor of God. Take a stand against the left’s schemes. Stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist. You will face fire from flaming arrows, but the shield of faith will protect you.”
DeSantis vowed that although much had been accomplished in Florida, come November, he would be standing his ground and walking the line.
“We have only begun to fight because we are on a mission to keep the state of Florida free and to save our great country,” as the crowd jumped to their feet, cheering and shouting.
