With No Reports Of Americans Being Rescued Outside Kabul Airport, White House Says Biden Is “Laser-Focused”

Kate Bedingfield, the White House’s communications director, spoke to CNN on Friday and said Former Vice President Joe Biden is “laser-focused” on getting Americans out of Afghanistan.

Bedingfield said, “He has directed the Department of Defense and the team working on this to use every possibility available to them to increase the number of people that we’re getting out.”

Out of the 3,000 people evacuated out of Kabul on Thursday, only 350 were actually American citizens.

As Afghanistan fell into chaos after Biden’s mishandling of the US troop withdrawal, US officials told the tens of thousands of Americans still in the area to make their way to the Kabul airport.

Now, reports are coming out of Kabul saying Americans are being tormented and barred from accessing the airport. Speaking to Fox News Representative Peter Meijer (R-MI) said “American citizens can’t get to the gates, many times.”

These reports contradict Former Vice President Biden Administration officials for saying Americans are not being kept from the Kabul airport. Effectively, American officials are relying on the Taliban terrorists to uphold their word that Americans will be able to access the Kabul airport unharmed.

Even though other countries are actively conducting rescue missions outside the Kabul airport, it’s being reported American forces have been ordered to remain within the confines of the airport.

When asked why the military forces are not attempting to rescue American citizens, Bedingfield said, “But what I can tell you is the president is driving his team toward this. We are working every day to do everything that we can to ensure that we’re able to get more people into the airport in an orderly manner.”

It is still unknown what “in an orderly manner” means in relation to evacuating American citizens who are being actively hunted down.
