Speaking to Fox News on Thursday, Democratic Judge of Webb County (TX), Judge Tano Tijerina, blasted Biden for the border crisis and a lack of concern he’s shown for how it is impacting citizens in the region.
Speaking to the border crisis, which has worsened since Haitian immigrants are now flooding into the United States, Tijerina said, “Biden fomented this and now he’s alienated us.” He went on to say, “I don’t know what’s going on with America today, but I can tell you that it’s not, it’s not right.”
The Judge also went on to confront Biden and the media for surrounding the crisis with pictures of border control officials who were on horseback. He said, instead of looking at all the other pictures of how the crisis is being managed, saying “But there are a thousand pictures of everything else that’s going on, that’s basically falling through the cracks. And yet nothing’s been mentioned.”
Tijerina also gave an insider’s perspective of how the border crisis is straining local government’s ability to manage the crisis and correctly govern, “You know, our county judges, I’ve spoken to almost all of them; we’re at our wits’ end, our mayors, we’re at our wits’ end. We don’t know what to do anymore.”
“Well, let me tell you: As a border town County Judge, as a Democratic County judge, conservative Democratic county judge, I will tell you right now that it is true; it’s happening in our border. And it’s a sad situation that President Biden needs to take ownership, doesn’t matter what he didn’t in the Senate. It doesn’t matter what he did in the past. Today, he has an opportunity to show the world what he is and who he is. And unfortunately, he hasn’t done that.”
