In Fauci’s latest attempt to predict the future (and grab headlines), he said there is more “pain and suffering” in our futures, as the variance of COVID begins to spread.
The head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases made his comments after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) revised their rules to have American’s re-don their masks.
Speaking to ABC News on their program “This Week,” the controversial non-practicing immunologist said, “Are we headed towards a period once again where we’re going to see lockdowns, businesses shutting down, masks routine for everybody, or is this potentially just a temporary setback?”
Fauci went on to say, “We’re looking to some pain and suffering in the future because we’re seeing the cases go up, which is the reason why we keep saying over and over again, the solution to this is get vaccinated and this would not be happening.”
Fauci went on to specifically target those of the population who have chosen not to accept the experimental vaccine for COVID, “we are seeing an outbreak of the unvaccinated.” This statement echoes a similar one Fauci made on July 7th, when we said “People who are fully vaccinated are protected from severe disease and death, including from the variants currently circulating in the country such as Delta.”
