On Monday a viral video surfaced showing a man praising Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for his handling of Hurricane Ian.

The video, which appears to be authentic, conflicts with local news reports which claimed aid had not made its way to the Florida municipality of Arcadia.

The man in the video said, “That gas is here in Arcadia. I don’t know about the rest of yall but it’s here in Arcadia.”

He went on to say, So, yall know who we’re voting for. I don’t know about the rest of you motherf-ers, but I’m voting for DeSantis, and I’m a Democrat. So yall call it whatever the f*** you want to call it.”

Mainstream media outlets have been releasing stories critical of man who may successfully run against democrat Biden in the 2024 general election.

In a tweet, Florida Politics publisher Michael Paluska referenced an ABC Action News article and criticized DeSantis actions in Arcadia.

DeSantis’ Press Secretary Jeremy Redfern called out Paluska, saying his claim was an “absolute lie.” He also countered Paluska’s claim saying, “Not a single operation was paused while the governor was on the ground.”

Jack Brewer, who was mentioned in Redfern’s tweet was the second man seen in the viral video. He pounced on ABS Action News’ claims saying, “This is a lie. Ask Johnny if the aid stopped!!! Smh

Brewer also responded to a similar tweet from Florida Democratic Party, saying their claims about DeSantis halting aid is “sickening and evil..devilish lies.”
