White House Confirms Hunter Biden Holds Stake in Chinese Company After Leaving Its Board

During Friday’s press conference, press secretary Jen Psaki confirmed that Hunter Biden still holds stake in Bohai Harvest RST Shanghai Equity Investment Fund Management, often referred to as BHR Partners.

Psaki stated, “He [Hunter Biden] has been working to unwind his investment,” and adding “I would certainly point you, he’s a private citizen. I would point you to him or his lawyers on the outside on any update.”

Hunter Biden’s lawyer, George Mesires, released a statement in October of 2019 indicating that Hunter had intended to resign from the BHR’s board of directors by the end of the month. Business records have since shown that Hunter Biden left the board in April of 2020.

Although he left the board, Hunter continues to hold a 10 percent stake in the BHR Partners through his company, Skaneateles LLC.

Back in December, President Biden told CNN, “My son, my family will not be involved in any business, any enterprise that is in conflict with or appears to be in conflict, where there’s appropriate distance from the presidency and government.”
